Real Wedding Inspiration: Isabel & Fred’s Marquee Wedding in Essex

Isabel and Fred’s mid-July wedding was the perfect blend of countryside charm and coastal elegance. Their marquee, set on family land in the heart of Essex, captured their love of sailing and all things nautical. The whole day felt sophisticated and effortlessly personal.

Setting the Scene

The couple chose a stunning marquee set against beautiful fields, dressed with blue tableware and linens to tie in with their soft nautical theme. Long banquet tables, twinkling lights and garden-style florals created a space that felt intimate, joyful, and full of life. Guests enjoyed a laid-back summer atmosphere, with great food and flowing drinks at the heart of it all.

Drinks on arrival

As guests arrived, they were greeted at the front steps by our team, each holding trays of chilled sparkling champagne — the perfect start to a July celebration. They then drifted into the garden to mingle and soak up the atmosphere while waiting for the Newlyweds arrival. All the while, our servers ensured every glass stayed full and each guest enjoyed a steady flow of delicious canapés.

The Menu

Working closely with Isabel, Fred & their family we designed a seasonal, locally inspired menu that reflected their story — right down to the lamb they raised themselves on their smallholding. It was a colourful mix for all palettes making sure there was still variety for those with dietary requirements.

A Perfect Summer Celebration

The July sunshine, the smell of barbecued lamb drifting through the marquee, and the soft blue tones of the décor created a truly memorable day. Seeing Isabel and Fred amongst all of their nearest and dearest surrounded by candlelight and the scent of their freshly prepared meal — was a reminder of why we love what we do. Their marquee wedding was a perfect example of how thoughtful planning, personal details, and exceptional food can come together to create something unforgettable.
